Baptism

an outward expression of inward change

What is baptism?

  • We practice baptism by immersion. We believe that “going under the waters” offers a faithful and biblical picture of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

  • No, baptism is not a prerequisite to being saved and spending eternity with Jesus. Faith is what unites us with Jesus. However, baptism represents being cleansed from our sins and therefore it is a core act of obedience for the follower of Jesus to declare their inward change.

    1. Fill out the next steps card and let our ministry staff know you want to be baptized.

    2. Meet with someone on our pastoral staff to share the story of how you came to faith in Jesus

    3. Schedule a Sunday and service to be baptized.

  • We welcome anyone who professes faith in Jesus to be baptized. With children, we follow the same process as our adults:

    1. Fill out the next steps card and let our ministry staff know your child wants to be baptized.

    2. You and your child meet with our kids minister to share their story of how they came to faith in Jesus

    3. Schedule a Sunday and service to be baptized.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change - the death of an old life to being raised with Jesus Christ. It is a core act of obedience for the follower of Jesus.
