Week 44: Acts 24

  1. As a group, summarize Acts 24.

  2. What stood out to you from the text?

  3. Why might Luke have included such a detailed look at Paul’s trials and hearings, when they seem so redundant?

  4. What does the case against Paul teach us about how Paul’s enemies viewed him and attacked him?

  5. While our situation might be physically different than Paul’s, do you feel as though there are similarities between modern culture’s view of Christians and Christianity and how Paul was viewed and treated here? How so?

  6. What are some things you notice about Paul’s defense? How does his defense teach us to respond today?

  7. Why might some have a tendency to neglect the justice of God and only speak of the love of God? Why are both essential?
