  1. As a group, summarize Acts 16:11-40.

  2. What stood out to you from the text?

  3. Discuss among your group the differences between each of the three individuals in Acts 16.

  4. What are some things we learn about the gospel when we consider how different they were?

  5. What should this mean for us in our daily lives?

  6. Also, what does this mean for us within the church?

  7. Luke tells us that the Lord opened Lydia’s heart to believe. Discuss among your group what this means.

  8. In what way should the Lord’s sovereignty in salvation encourage each of us to share the gospel?

  9. Why were Paul and Silas able to sign hymns while chained up unjustly in prison? What does that teach us about joy in the midst of suffering?
