Week 30: Acts 15:36 – 16:10
As a group, summarize Acts 15:36 – 16:10.
What stood out to you from the text?
What caused the separation between Paul and Barnabas?
Scripture doesn’t tell us who was right, who was wrong, or otherwise. In your estimation though, who would you have said was right or wrong? Why?
Are there times where we need to separate from friends, churches, or ministry partners? If so, give examples of reasons why one should and why one shouldn’t.
Discuss among your group how God sovereignly worked in this situation and ultimately used this to protect and build up the church.
Why did Paul insist on Timothy being circumcised and how did this not contradict Acts 15?
Give examples of what this might look like in our lives?
Paul was clearly sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Why might we be slow to be sensitive to the Spirit? And what are some ways we can regularly seek to find God’s will and plan for our lives?
